As the title suggests...I haven't done anything with this in 3 months. But if nobody reads this, does it really exist? Or if I write this and no one reads it, what is more pathetic, the blog or the blogger? Those questions I can't answer, but some non-questions I can do. So here are some statements to help set up a more fruitful mission.
- I'm going to try and write a review at the least, every other day. It will either be an album, artist or show review. Maybe movie if I feel compelled, or run out of music, but that's probably going to be rare.
- I don't do grades. My only problem with music reviews, internet or magazine, is that they feel like they have to be graded. Why can't everyone agree that if a person or organization likes the music, they talk about it? If they don't like it, skip over it. I'm perfectly fine with someone saying they don't like something, but giving something a bad grade makes it seem like it actually is bad. I have a hard time calling art bad. Some stuff I don't like, that doesn't make it bad or poorly done. It'd be like telling someone they have a bad face, then watching their spouse come up and kiss them. There's something for everyone. This is a long way of saying, if I write about it I recommend it.
- My goal for this site is to have at least 20 readers by the end of the year that don't know who I am. I won't resort to chain mail. Yet.
So there you go. Hopefully you enjoy at least some of the artists in this, or you'll be wasting a lot of time.
